In Shizuka Yokomizo's work we can see she has used the reflection and view point of the window to get the photograph of the man. she has used the pattern of the window to give space from the photographer and the man. The photographer as used a darker shade of red however the lighting brings the colour out, the uses of paintings inside the room gives a different tone as with the lighting and paintings gives a mood for the room and the man as you can see the man seem to be smiling. Yokomizo has made good uses of lines in the photograph as the window splits up in the photo into sections. The photographer the writer has thought well about the composition of the photograph as she had to think about the positioning of the man and himself as he got the angles perfectly. This type of genre of photography is portraiture however this type is unusual because in a portrait we are used to seeing colours in a brighter environment were as this location is set in a darker room with not much inside the photo apart from the man, but the line work makes up for this as the lining gives the photo levels to the photo.
yokomizo has taken carful thought of this photograph she has taken spacing lighting into consideration. The rule of thirds would be important for this as it leaves the side of the image spaced. The edges and framing has been cared for as this gives the photo a depth towards it . If i was challenged to create a portrait like this i would set myself up next to a window similar to this and set up a background some what similar and i would have to think about the positioning of the subject and myself to have the line work accordingly.
This photograph makes me feel contradictor. I feel evocative towrds the photo as its in a darker setting however the photographer has put carful thought towards the photograph this makes me feel this way because seeing another person smile can bring a side of happiness towards a person. this photo can also make you feel good as it can reflect on a person how they see themselves and on others. However this photograph makes me feel confused on why this photo was taken with this emotive. I am also confused as on the mans dress as if the photographer wanted to keep it casual or if this was done on purpose. If i was to ask the photographer a question i would as. What was your thought on taking the photo and what steps did you take? how do you develop your photo? What atmosphere do you wish to create?
From the article i learned that the photographer wished to have little to no connection towards the subject she would politely ask permission via letter and photograph at night. If the person agrees they would only be about to work out the silhouette of the photographer, this still gives the subject and photographer privacy between. Once the photographer was done she would leave and remain strangers. This photo relates to the theme of openings as this can give both photographer and subject and opening to something the wouldn’t be able to see by there self

these photos have taken some time to take i have had to take to consideration the positioning of the camera and the spacing. I have taken to consideration the scenery and background i have also thought about reflections in doors windows these ones were the best as i am completely in the photo and the photographs from below these types of photos are the best as these have me in the photo completely
